Founder of Springbook

Hi, I’m Dustie.

I created Springbook because I needed it. My father died suddenly when I was 30. Years later, I walked my mother through the long goodbye of dementia while raising my three sons. As an only child, I was in charge of everything for both of them.

For 20 years, I’ve helped people organize their homes, so I know how overwhelming paperwork and our digital lives can be. And for 3 years, working within an estate planning practice, I made sure clients’ plans actually worked the way they intended.

Springbook brings all of my personal and professional experience together, so your family can be truly prepared.

Whether life surprises you or nature is taking its course, your family will be ready with everything they need in one place.

Good Questions

If I already have a will or a trust, do I need a Springbook?
Absolutely! Your attorney’s documents say what should happen and who can act. Your Springbook shows the people you’ve chosen how to carry out your wishes. It’s one guide to everything you manage: financial accounts, policies, passwords, contacts, online accounts and more. With a Springbook, the people acting for you can work efficiently, with as little difficulty as possible.

Is Springbook a legal document?
No. Springbook works alongside your legal estate plan. It isn’t legal, tax, or financial advice. For those questions, please speak with your attorney, CPA, or advisor.

Do I need to be good with computers?
The documents come as Microsoft Word and Apple Pages files you fill in on your computer. If you’d rather write by hand, you can print the PDF version. For in-person help completing your Springbook and organizing your home office, contact Dustie at dustie@myspringbook.com.

What is the best way to store my Springbook?
The best place to store your Springbook depends on your situation and what you’re comfortable with. Whatever you choose, keep copies in more than one format and more than one place. For example, keep a printed copy and save it to the two thumb drives in your Springbook Binder Kit. Store one drive with the printed copy and the other in a safe deposit box.
